Lift Your Eyes - A Creation Hymn
Part 2

God made all kinds of vegetation:
Seed bearing plants, trees, and grain.
Waiting for Adam’s cultivation,
The streams came up on fertile plain.

All praise and thanks to God alone!
The hills are clothed with gladness.
His many blessings He has sown
For us with love and kindness.

God made the sun to shine by day
The moon and stars to shine by night,
The morning dawns, the evening fades.
Their splendor shows His glorious might.

At night He calls the stars by name;
The morning stars together sing.
And by God’s word the heavens were made,
The seasons, days, and years they bring.

Lift your eyes and look to the heavens
The Lord created all of these.
He marked out the great horizon.
He set the boundaries of the seas.

Whales and fish of every kind
He made all the creatures of the sea.
He made the animals that crawl and climb,
The birds with wings that all fly so free.

Let the land give way to beast and creature
God made all living things you see.
Their distinctive beauty still abounds.
In all God made He was well pleased.

Then man was formed in God’s own likeness
From dust He breathed the breath of life.
And man, like God, was made in holiness
Then a helper came to him, God made his wife.

He blessed them, then He said to fill the earth.
Green plants and fruit He gave to eat.
And man was placed in charge of God’s handiwork
This garden, this place of peace.

Lift your eyes and look to the heavens
The Lord created all of these.
He marked out the great horizon.
He set the boundaries of the seas.

The heavens and earth in vast array,
God rested; now all creation displayed.
Nothing that’s formless or empty remained.
The Sabbath He blessed and made holy.

Lift your eyes and look to the heavens
The Lord created all of these.
He marked out the great horizon.
He set the boundaries of the seas.
